

Laura Woodin
Laura Woodin is passionate about helping leaders and organizations engage and inspire the people who matter to their success. During her tenure with two science-focused Fortune 500 companies, Laura collaborated with global, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver proactive stakeholder engagement strategies that advanced the companies' objectives.
In her global role as Science Media Director at AstraZeneca, Laura identified and created thought-leadership opportunities to communicate the organization's science and partnering strategy. She supported senior leaders in high-profile media interviews and speaking engagements, while building relationships with top tier and trade media and effectively using social media channels to highlight the company's small and large molecule research. She also led communications for the launch of the company's first orphan drug and supported U.S. product teams in the respiratory, neuroscience and oncology therapeutic areas. As a member of the corporate team, Laura led executive engagement, public policy and crisis communications efforts, including working on product liability litigation.
As part of the global Engineering function at DuPont, Laura counseled senior leaders and built internal communications channels to improve employee engagement. She also contributed to the company's focus on STEM education through speaking engagements for leaders and social media campaigns, and served in a crisis communications capacity on behalf of company sites in Delaware.
Laura holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and an MBA from the University of Delaware. She has worked in both the United States and United Kingdom.
